			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>So, you want to keep your muscles and joints healthier to prevent injury and stay more active? Well, I believe you’re making a good choice and I want to do my part to help you out.</p>
<p>Over the years, I have worked with thousands of people and have seen patterns of weakness and tightness that show up with a variety of injuries. Now, I want you to learn from my experiences.</p>
<p>Of course, I realize you are not a professional athlete and can’t dedicate your entire day to keeping your body finely tuned. So, for you to incorporate an exercise program into your weekly routine, it needs to cover all the major body areas and it needs to be quick and easy, or else you’ll find excuses for not fitting it in.</p>
<p>With these factors in mind, I created a mini ‘circuit’ routine to address common problem areas. For your convenience, I have split this article into two parts: Upper Body and Lower Body. Depending on your activity, you can focus on either or both to train the areas that need it most. I have also included one ‘core’ exercise in both articles because the core is essential in stabilizing the body and transferring momentum from the lower body to the upper body.</p>
<p>1.Calf Raise/Lower – stand with ball of foot on a stair with your heel hanging off the edge. Raise up on both toes, shift your weight onto your right foot and slowly lower your heel back down over the edge. Raise up on both toes again, shift your weight onto your left foot this time and then slowly lower your heel back down over the edge of the step. This is 1 repetition. Do 20-30 repetitions.</p>
<p>2.Ball Squats – if you have an inflatable exercise ball you can use it to do wall squats by placing it between your buttocks/low back and a wall. Move your feet out away from the wall another 12 inches until you feel yourself leaning back against the ball. Slowly bend your knees to squat down as you let yourself roll down the ball. Go down until your thighs are parallel to the floor and then push back up, rolling up on the ball. That is one repetition. Do 20-30 repetitions.</p>
<p>OR</p>
<p>Alternating Lunges – standing with both feet together, take a big step forward with one foot and slowly bend your front knee while lowering your hip down toward the floor so you get equal bend in your knee and hip. Don’t let your knee go forward past your foot as it bends. Slowly push yourself back up to your starting position and as you do so, look down at your knee and make sure it stays lined up with your foot (don’t let it rotate inward or outward). Once back in the starting position, switch and do a lunge with the opposite leg to complete one repetition. Perform 20 alternating lunges. Keep your abdominals tight as you lunge forward and you should also feel a stretch in your upper thigh/hip.</p>
<p>3.Hamstring Stretch – stand holding onto something sturdy for balance. Lift one knee up toward your chest and keep it there as you extend your leg out and straighten your knee. Once you kick out straight, let your leg come back down to the floor slowly to complete the first repetition. The lift your knee up to begin your second repetition. Do 15 repetitions, switch legs and repeat 15 reps on the other side.</p>
<p>4.Hip Flexor Stretch – the dynamic part of this stretch starts by standing and holding onto a sturdy object for balance. Lift your knee up toward your chest and then, keeping your knee bent and your stomach tight, lower your knee back down and slowly go through a ‘kicking’ motion backward (make sure to keep your stomach tight as you do so) and you should feel a stretch in the front of your hip and upper thigh. Slowly come back to the start position (knee straight down, still bent) to finish the 1st repetition. Lift your knee up to start your second rep. Do 10 repetitions and then switch sides and repeat. Next, kneel with one knee down and the opposite knee up with the foot flat on the floor.</p>
<p>While keeping your stomach tight and your back straight, slowly lean your hip forward until you feel a stretch in the front of your hip and/or upper thigh. Hold for 15 seconds, relax and repeat for a total of 5 stretches. Switch legs and perform 5 repetitions.</p>
<p>5.Alternating Diagonal Abdominal Crunches – lie on your back with your knees bent up and your feet flat on the floor. Cross your arms over your chest and curl your shoulders up off the floor as you angle your left elbow toward your right knee. Slowly return back down to the floor and then curl back up, angling your right elbow toward your left knee and slowly lower back down. That is 1 repetition. Complete 15-20 repetitions.</p>
<p>Keeping your lower body in shape and ‘ready to go’ will help you stay active and will improve your performance for many years to come. The exercises above are general and may not help rehabilitate specific injuries once you have developed them. Rather, these are meant more for preparing your body and preventing injuries.</strong></p>

<p><strong>We have heard the expression that &#8220;less is more&#8221; right? We also all know athletes who have endured knee issues, shoulder problems, back problems and other chronic pain&#8230;.all of these conditions are associated with over training. In fact, many professional athletes spend their lives beyond the age of 40 in chronic pain caused by excessive training&#8230;yet I can go to a department store and buy a DVD teaching me their training routine. It really makes no sense.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The bottom line on these excessive programs&#8230; they obviously don&#8217;t work. People do not do them. The majority of people do not react the same way to the exessive training that these athletes force upon themselves and then try to force upon the masses. Worse yet, it turns people away from exercise altogether and it is ruining the lives of people who simply cannot motivate themselves to suffer for 45 minutes or longer.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We improve muscles by breaking them down and then rebuilding them. How long does it take to break down a muscle? Not long. Using resistance during a movement, it is quite possible to break down a muscle by repeating a movement just 5 or 6 times. Once that has been done, muscles can be broken down further by doing a different movement that uses the same muscle groups in a different way. Again,resistance is added so that the muscles can no longer perform the movement at all after only 5 or 6 repititions. </strong></p>
<p><strong>In our program, we use this simple method and muscle groups are given 3 or 4 different movements (exercises) to perform until failure. Failure is the term we use when the muscles can no longer perform under the same circumstances. Perhaps you were able to do 1 pushup, but after you did your 5th, you could no longer do any. This is an example of muscle failure. The muscles were no longer able to perform and a 6th pushup was impossible.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We will guide you through exactly what to do and how to do it. 3 or 4 exercises done only 5 or 6 times will completely breakdown a muscle group. Forcing the muscles to continue is pointless and results in over training&#8230;.it is possible to over tenderize meet by pounding it into mush, the same is true for our muscles.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Once the muscles are broken down, they require 10 full days to fully recover. Again, most programs will have you target a muscle group too early and never give the muscles the opportunity they need to improve and rebuild themselves into stronger healthier muscle tissue. &#8220;Get in the best shape of your life training only 7 minutes a day three times per week&#8221;</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am wondering if happiness is related to bliss, can anyone really achieve true happiness. Or is it how oneself defines happiness?</p>
<p>Happiness is a sensation that shows up in ones mind and emotions as a reaction when basic survival needs are   fulfilled. It causes a state of being that is felt as satisfying and uplifting. This sensation stays for a while and then fades slowly away, leaving the individual in a kind of void that causes discomfort and the longing to repeat the condition of happiness. An example: If someone is very hungry, then will feel happy when getting some food, it doesn&#8217;t really matter what it is.</p>
<p>Then this feeling of happiness stays in ones memory connected with food and every time one feels not good, for whatever reason, then having the urge to start eating. (It is surprising to me that nobody mentions this when answering questions about weight problems&#8230;) Apart of having food for ones happiness there are quite a number more of basic needs: The sexual urge is strong and when fulfilled gives a kind of happiness. The need to get attention is also strong and when fulfilled gives satisfaction and happiness. Being confirmed in ones power gives another kind of happiness.</p>
<p>Being confirmed in ones concepts and ones self-image gives happiness, what mostly happens in a relationship when ‘falling in love’ with the produced feeling of happiness. The problem is that this kind of happiness never is enough and so people eating more and more, wanting more sex, going for more power and attention or gathering more property and so on.</p>
<p>So then after having what they wanted, they are not really happy and so they become spiritual or religious… or even fanatic or obsessed. That might give their life a new sense and makes them happy. But are people really happy? Or are they just occupied   with their new beliefs and so they don’t need to deal with their state of not being happy?</p>
<p>It seems that the most happiness is gained when ones concepts and self-image are confirmed. Then this gives a certain security and establishes the feeling of existence.<br />
So is happiness the preliminary stage of bliss? No, it isn’t, because happiness is bound to the personality with conditions and positions, while bliss goes beyond personality and so is not a reaction, it is a pure state of being, as the result of a growing process and can’t be reached with intention or any kind of manipulation.</p>
<p>The next question might be if there is a way to gain permanent happiness or even bliss? Yes there is: It is the way given because we are alive and we are not alone. We need to interact with each other and with all kind of situations and happenings. If we relate and respond with responsibility, we will free ourselves from dependencies. We will be able to appreciate what is given in any moment and see it as an opportunity to learn and to grow, having the trust that this situation is the best what can be and if it is difficult, then we can see it as a challenge. Out of this attitude there will come the constant condition of happiness.<br />

<p>Happiness is something many of us strive for. Why is it so hard to achieve, especially at times when you need it the most? How do we change a gloomy mood into a lighter or happier one?</p>
<p>There are some things within our power that will help us accomplish these goals.</p>
<p>What are some benefits of happiness that could encourage you to work towards it even more?</p>
<p>o Health</p>
<p>o Self Confidence</p>
<p>o A sense of Purpose</p>
<p>o More Productivity</p>
<p>o Achieve Your Goals</p>
<p>o Weight Loss</p>
<p>Funny thing is that the above list also works in reverse. If you are healthy, self confident and all the rest listed, than you will most likely be happier. Sometimes happiness is staring us right in the face.</p>
<p>Here are some ways that you can create happiness in your life.</p>
<p>Exercise: It appears that exercising comes up a lot when we are speaking about improving various things in our lives.  It has been shown to improve mood by making us healthier and increasing endorphins.</p>
<p>Foods &#038; Diet: Eating chocolate is probably more of a pleasure than sustained happiness, even though it can provide us with a short-lived boost.</p>
<p>A healthy diet though is vital for our health and happiness. Too much sugar and junk foods are provisional emotional boosters. In the long run these problem foods will degrade us physically as well as emotionally.</p>
<p>Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, including raw veggies. Cut back on unhealthy foods and don&#8217;t &#8220;Super Size&#8221; it.</p>
<p>Supplements: If you are not receiving all of your nutrients in your diet then you may want to supplement by taking vitamins.</p>
<p>There are some specific supplements that target your mood. You could discuss these with your health practitioner.</p>
<p>Music: Music can bring miracles to your mood. Go ahead and listen to something upbeat and happy.</p>
<p>Rewards: Happiness comes from rewards as well. They can be simple things. You find a great  bargain on something you been wanting. Maybe someone offers you a simple item of interest. You do a task and are complimented on it by someone else or yourself. Even finding a coin on the sidewalk can give you a &#8220;Reward&#8221; feeling that can bring happiness to you.</p>
<p>The greatest reward can come from giving a compliment to someone or saying a kind word.</p>
<p>Gratitude: Be grateful for what you have. This simple statement can make a giant difference in your life! Everyday think of everything you have. The enormous things, and the little things. Are you living in a cardboard box? No. Then be very grateful. Yes? Be grateful for the cardboard box.</p>
<p>Have gratitude for friends and family, the home you live in, the food you eat. Isn&#8217;t it great  having air to breath, freedom to go where you want. Don&#8217;t take these for granted but have gratitude and give thanks.</p>
<p>Love: Well Love can clearly bring happiness. Love for your spouse, friends, neighbors and strangers. Give Love and you will receive Love. Learn to Love Yourself. Let&#8217;s all remember that when we interact with others.</p>
<p>Enjoyment: Do what you enjoy. This could be a hobby or going for a walk in the park. If you do things that you like it&#8217;s bound to bring happiness.</p>
<p>Forgiveness: Try a bit harder to say kind words to others. Place yourself in the other&#8217;s person place for a moment. Sure there are some people that act so mean and hateful. Remember you only hurt yourself when you return meanness or hold resentment and anger inside.</p>
<p>Help Others: Find ways to make others happy. You may be surprised that by willingly helping others to find joy can have a positive impact on you as well. Help others to find meaning in life. Keep them company.</p>
<p>Build Self Confidence: Do your work the best you can. Learn new skills. Find meaning in your career and life. Enjoy a new hobby or game. You can boost your self-confidence by learning new and enjoyable things. Raise your self-confidence and you raise your happiness.</p>
<p>Happiness can make you smarter! Is it really surprising that positive attracts positive? If you do these things you will increase your happiness.</p>
<p>What is the most important thing to you? Is it money, a fancy car or a mansion, maybe your health? What about happiness?</p>
<p>Well let&#8217;s think a moment&#8230;.</p>
<p>If you have happiness, all the happiness you want or need, would that be the most important thing to you?</p>
<p>What good is money or the rest without happiness? If you are truly happy you won&#8217;t need to worry about the rest. If you require money to be happy then you will have it. Maybe the saying, &#8220;Money Can&#8217;t Buy Happiness&#8221;, should be &#8220;Happiness Can Produce Money&#8221;.</p>
<p>Try to release all anger and negative emotions. You can accomplish this easier once you realize you are only hurting yourself and other loved ones around you. Sure it will take regular practice. You may struggle with this, but it can become second nature after awhile.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s up to you. Do you want to be negative and unhappy or positive and learn to be happier? You can start now by adding positive attributes to your life. Be good, smile and put on a happy face!</p>
